In pursuit of excellence and industry advancement, the Australian Renderers Association (ARA) continues to actively participate in workshops and conferences across the globe. These events not only expand the Association’s global network but provide valuable insights into industry best practices and sustainability.
We take a look at four highlights from the past year.
NARA Conference, California, USA (October 23-27, 2022)
The NARA Conference in California was attended by 420 industry professionals, with Dennis King acting as the ARA Representative. The key theme was sustainability, with discussions focusing on leveraging the rendering industry’s advantages to establish social, environmental, and economic metrics. Congratulations are in order for Damian Evans, who was appointed as the 1st Vice President of the World Renderers Organisation during the AGM.
ARA Poultry Nutrition Workshops, Jakarta, Indonesia (February 10 & 13, 2023)
At the ARA Poultry Nutrition Workshops in Jakarta the ARA was represented by Dennis King, Peter Milzewski, and George Schinard, where 40 feed mills, predominantly large companies, participated. There was a significant turnout, including representatives from the Feed Millers Association. The workshops, featuring renowned animal nutritionist Professor Robert (Bob) Swick, were very popular and reflected a demand for additional poultry nutrition workshops.
VIV Asia, Bangkok, Thailand (March 8-10, 2023)
VIV Asia in Bangkok, Thailand, attracted a staggering 47,527 attendees, 1186 exhibitors, and 200 plus speakers. The ARA’s trade stand was abuzz with activity with our representative Dennis King engaged with many buyers, fostering relationships and networking opportunities. The ARA’s commitment to a larger presence in 2025 reflects our dedication to enhancing member connections.
EFPRA Congress, Naples, Italy (June 7-10, 2023)
The EFPRA Congress in Naples, Italy, drew 520 attendees from around the world. ARA representatives Dennis King and Ashley Palmer participated in the program featuring distinguished speakers from the European Commission, Italian Government, universities, and industries. The diverse perspectives provided attendees with a comprehensive understanding of sector development.
Future events
NARA Annual Convention, Naples, FL, USA (October 24 – 27, 2023)
The ARA will be represented at this year’s NARA Annual Convention by Peter Milzewski and Michael Betar. Peter will be presenting at the Convention in the International Forum discussing the outlook of the Australian industry with an update on sustainability efforts. The convention is titled ‘the rendering industry’s premier event’ and will be very strongly attended with a worldwide audience.
